CONTINUING BRANCHES
Three active lines changed cities.
The Aces, Wings and Sun are the active WNBA franchises whose records include a previous market.
ROOTED BRANCHES
Same market, continuous team.
These franchises have kept the same home market since their debut, even when logos, owners, arenas or uniforms changed.
CLOSED BRANCHES
Lost, never erased.
Folded teams remain part of league history. A new team using the same market or name does not automatically inherit the earlier franchise record unless the league or franchise explicitly carries that history forward.
